Well… it’s been renamed PowerShell now. Not sure about how I feel about the new name though. Anyway, here is a nice post explaining how passing objects between tasks is quite more powerful than passing strings through a pipe. As someone who wrote or hacked quite a few command-line scripts on Win and on linux/unix a while ago, I am quite looking forward to this!
